SPIEGEL Gruppe, publisher of one of Europe's largest news magazines Der Spiegel
Merging of three company brands into one online presence
As part of their digital publishing strategy, the SPIEGEL group collaborates with ventures such as finance consultant MLP to offer expert knowledge on special interest topics.
Presenting the partner content in an editorial environment that the SPIEGEL readers are well familiar with while maintaining the authorship of MLP as a credible provider for financial advice is a key requirement for this media cooperation.
Some of the content that MLP provides for the SPIEGEL website has originally been hosted on the website univatio.de, a company that was recently acquired by MLP (and whose website and design we initially created, as well).
We therefore had to actually merge three clients to implement the content offer seamlessly to the SPIEGEL website, catering for a smooth migration on the one hand and delivering a convincing web design development on the other.
As a first step, we migrated the content from univatio.de to the Webflow SPIEGEL domain. We then took care of a true-to-the-brand redesign by adapting all content components of the SPIEGEL landing page – such as the navigation bar and the header module – to the look and feel of MLP, which required a custom-code replication of the SPIEGEL CI within Webflow.
The entire redesign and implementation has been conducted in accordance with the applicable data protection regulations by integrating Usercentrics and under consideration that the future content maintenance was easily accessible to the company’s employees.
“02100 was very responsive to our challenge of combining the requirements of three different brands to create a seamless reader experience and professionally advised us on a conceptual approach that made this challenge equally smooth for our team.”
Dominik Metz, Head of Performance Marketing, MLP

Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets
