Transferring a manual online dating process into an interactive digital platform in a very tight timeframe
While dating processes via an app can be long and nerve-racking, Noii offers a platform where people can directly meet face to face – without the hassle of writing back and forth. Founder Laura Matter developed her idea during Corona times, when meeting people was restricted to online meetings. Dating suddenly became even more difficult, so she decided to develop an online speed dating format.
Initially, the dating parties had to manually schedule Zoom meetings and invites to get to know each other. 02100 developed a feasible website MVP that allows users to signup and conduct meetings over the platform.
Like many start-ups and small businesses, Noii had a tight budget and timeline for developing their MVP, so we had to prioritize which features of the MVP website were necessary to provide a convincing online dating experience.
We also had to figure out the best way to transform a manual speed dating format into a digital platform and how to migrate the design into an easy-to-use, yet appealing digital product.
We embraced the challenge to deliver a full dating website that allows for online registration, interactive video chats and meeting schedules within only 5 days. Together with our team of strategists, we objectively assessed the possibilities of the platform and its necessary features to assure for a fast MVP development with a focused approach.
We used Bubble to successfully validate the format in an agile setup and create a product that enables Noii to get their online business off the ground and design an interface that boosts user engagement with an easy-to-use registration process.
We adopted the existing design directly in Bubble, without the need for extensive iteration cycles, and were able to instantly implement feedback to assure the fastest possible results.
Through the intuitive and native implementation of online payment providers (e.g. Paypal or Twint), users could activate premium services directly in the app.
Through continuous optimisation in the MVP phase, a significantly higher conversion rate than usual in the industry was achieved at the end of the MVP validation.
